Well here I am again after getting my car service after the 6th year. as I do every year .and the boys and all the ladies at George Corbett has done their usual fantastic job. there's never been a year where I've not got my car serviced  at George Corbett. and I have always been highly satisfied. as soon as you walk through the door there's always someone in there to greet you with a nice warm smile and a good morning or afternoon. and I was very happy with the service as I am every year. and with what they charge you. Got to be one of the best car service dealerships in the area if not the best. this year I needed a few more parts fitted and again very happy with the job they did at a very reasonable price. We all need new parts as we get older. I even had a chat with a mechanics this year with a 10 minute chat at the front of the counter on how to make a good Yorkshire pudding and a good laugh about it.as I am a Yorkshire man now you can't get any friendlier than that when the mechanic wants to know how to make a good Yorkshire pudding. So thank you again all the gentlemen and the ladies at George Corbett another year of happy motoring knowing at the back of my mind I know where to go if I have any problems with  my car so if you want a good car and more important if you want a good backup customer service George Corbett is the place to go and they will really will look after you I promise you that  whether it's 1 year after buying a car or 10 years after buying a car I look forward to seeing all you guys again next year please God to do another great job on my car and thank you for the last 6 years of great service

I had a fantastic experience purchasing my new Skoda Kamiq 2026 from George Corbett. Sean Purcell was excellent—he thoroughly explained everything, answered all my questions, and provided regular updates throughout the process. The customer service was top-notch.

My personal experience of trying to purchase a car from George Corbett Motors (GC Motors) in Ireland was unfortunately not a positive one. In my experience, the dealership fell short in two important areas: **transparency and consumer rights**.

During my discussions with the sales team, I was initially told that the vehicle came with a **6-month warranty**. Later, I was offered an “increased” warranty of **12 months**. Fortunately, I found the original DoneDeal advertisement, which stated that the vehicle already came with a **12-month warranty**. This left me with the impression that information was not being presented transparently and that the sales process was taking advantage of my limited knowledge of the Irish car market, having recently moved from the UK.

What I found particularly concerning was the discussion around my **consumer rights**. As I was purchasing the vehicle entirely online and without physically viewing it beforehand, I specifically asked about the applicable consumer protections. I was told that a **14-day cooling-off period did not apply**.

I found this response concerning because, based on my understanding of the **Consumer Rights Act 2022**, distance and off-premises contracts can provide consumers with a 14-day cancellation right.
I would therefore have expected the dealership to provide a clear and accurate explanation of my rights rather than simply dismissing the possibility.

Overall, my experience was disappointing. I expected greater transparency and a more professional approach to explaining consumer rights, particularly when dealing with a fully online vehicle purchase.

I can only give GC Motors **2 stars**, and those are primarily for the higher management, who definitely look out for their sales team. Based on my personal experience, the sales and service interactions did not meet the standard I expected.
