Our experience of dealing with Maynooth Used Cars was excellent. Our son bought his 1st car from them, it was in excellent condition for a fantastic price. Dave made the purchasing process very easy for him. I would highly recommend people to take a browse at range of cars available from Maynooth Used Cars

Really had a fantastic experience purchasing our car from Maynooth Used Cars. Dave was incredibly helpful—he took the time to walk us through several options, clearly explained all the details, and answered every question we had with patience.

What stood out most was that he wasn’t pushy at all. Instead, he focused on understanding our needs and helped us choose a car that truly suits us. The whole process felt honest, relaxed, and professional from start to finish.

Highly recommend Maynooth Used Cars to anyone looking for a smooth and trustworthy car-buying experience!

Dave was so helpful highly recommend, delighted with the car,the whole sale was very easy we will be returning 😀

I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before buying from this dealership.

I purchased my first car here for €5,250, trusting the process as a learner driver. The dealer (Dave) was very responsive and helpful before the sale, which made everything seem straightforward and reliable. However, my experience after purchasing has been extremely disappointing.

Within one month of owning the car, it began making concerning noises. I brought it to a trusted, independent local mechanic (who has worked on my family’s cars for years), and I was advised the car should not have been sold in that condition and was not road safe.

Since then, I’ve had to spend €1,050 on essential repairs within just 2-3 months of ownership. Issues included severely worn rusted cracked brake pads, completely bald tyres requiring replacement, mould in the car, and other faults that, in my experience, appear to have been present before the sale, I’ve barely been able to use the car.

I also paid extra for a warranty, It covers very little (mainly gearbox and engine), and requires going back to their garage with additional charges, None of the issues I experienced were covered.

While the car had a history of passing NCT checks, the condition I received it in raises serious concerns.

Overall, I feel there was a lack of transparency regarding the condition of the vehicle.

I would highly recommend bringing a trusted mechanic with you before purchasing from this dealership or considering other options.

I bought a Hyundai i10 here in August. Within just two months and well within the warranty period (Oct 7th), I reported high oil consumption. Dave's response was that it 'should be no issue' and told me to just 'keep an eye on it'. I followed his advice, but a professional mechanic's test has now confirmed a major engine defect (burning 1L per 233km) requiring a full rebuild/replacement.
Now Dave refuses to help, claiming it's 'out of warranty'—effectively penalising me for following his own instructions to monitor the issue reported during the warranty. He offered a €500 'gesture of goodwill' for a repair quoted at over €3,600, but despite this offer, he still refuses to admit there is a fault. Small Claims Court case initiated. Proceed with caution.
