Everything seemed fine at first, but the car broke down within a week. The dealer took it in for repairs, and I didn’t have the car for three weeks. After getting it back, the engine failed again within a month. After that, the dealer refused to deal with me at all. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, if a car is bought and a fault occurs within six months, the dealer must first offer a repair or a replacement. If that fails, they are required to offer a refund. As the dealer has failed to comply with their legal obligations, I will be seeking legal action against them.
