JDM Auction Watch

I recently had the experience of importing a car using the services of JDM Auction Watch. I sent a general Email to them and Ross replied fairly promptly with a bit of back and forth about what I was after, a Toyota Camry Hybrid. Quickly he provided pictures of a Grade 4.5 car. And after musing over it for a day or so I decided to go for it. It's nice that you don't have to give all of the money upfront and can stagger the payment in a few transactions. After this Marta made everything really easy in terms of any administration that was required in relation to the transaction. She made things very straightforward and was a pleasure to deal with. When the car arrived picking it up was very easy using their VRT registration service. The condition was beyond my expectations. It even came with a pile of service history and many panels and trim pieces still have the factory plastic protection on them which is insane for a 9 year old car. I feel I did a lot better for the money than you would do knocking around some garages. One downside was that I had requested a car with two keys and although the car did come with 2 keys one of them is just a remote fob for some other Toyota. I found this a little disappointing but would not necessarily remove a star for it. One of my family members is very focused on the year of a vehicle so I knew they would be more fussy than myself. This person remarked positively that the car was "in seriously excellent condition" and this was the biggest test this car could have gone through! I would use JDM Auction Watch again and am going to be looking for another vehicle again very soon. The pen and air freshener with the paperwork was a nice touch also.

Recently imported a Landcruiser with JDMAW. This Team are delivering exactly as promised. The car arrived in fantastic condition. The whole process from start to finish was essentially seamless. Everything is fully transparent, communication was excellent throughout. Ross was fantastic sourcing the exact machine I was after, and followed up on every little question I had! Could not have been more helpful. Marta really helpful also with the paperwork. If looking to import from Japan, look no further than this Team at JDMAW.

I recently dealt with Patrick while importing a suzuki jimny, my experience could not have been better everything was made simple with no stress on my part i’m very happy with the purchase and would 100% deal with JDM again. Thanks again 😊

JDMAuctionwatch imported an Audi S8 for me. Not from auction, found it at a Japanese dealer, they organised everything including videos of starting and running I requested. Ross made the whole process easy, from buying the car to tracking the container, to getting the VRT paid. They gave me a fixed price to land the car, but you are at the mercy of the VRT office as to what they assess the car for. Couldn't have been happier with the service from Ross and Patrick.

Want to be completely honest about my experience with Patrick from JDM Auction Watch. I contacted him about what I wanted and said I want a clean truck inside and out. I paid the bidding deposit and told him I was worried about bidding on something that had rust or had issues as I’ve no experience in this and didn’t fully understand the auction sheets - he assured me they wouldn’t put my bid through if it had anything bad. I thought great I can’t really go wrong here, and bid on what looked like a really clean one. Turns out the car had heavy corrosion (the front panel was rotten). They mistakenly put my bid through. I only noticed this when a couple of weeks later I got sent more pics and when I voiced my concern about it Patrick said it’s not bad - a polish and paint correction will sort it. Obviously that wasn’t true and the car needed major repairs done. When I collected the car he wasn’t anywhere to be seen just left the keys in it and said it’s ready for you. Obviously he didn’t wanted to be confronted about it face to face. He then offered to sell it for me which wasn’t an option as I would have lost a lot of money. Also offered to swap it for another one they had in stock (Not what I had wanted and worth less money). Patrick wasn’t willing to own up to his mistake and part with even a single penny of the money he made on it to help me out with the repairs. When you’re messaging/ringing him about making a purchase expect excellent communication but if you have an issue you can expect him to not return calls/texts. Please if you’re thinking of using JDM auction watch just be super careful. I know plenty of people have had good experiences but I got screwed over and left with a massive repair bill. The company that done repairs for me also found signs of poorly repaired crash damage which wasn’t on the auction sheet. There’s other decent services in Ireland for importing your car so maybe consider giving one of them a shot. If you do go with Patrick just double and triple check everything and keep in mind if sometime goes wrong you’re not going to get any actual help. See the pictures attached of what I thought I was getting vs what arrived. I’m sure he will reply to this review with some sort of bs but that doesn’t change the facts, I put my trust in his company, they failed and now I’m paying the price.
