recently brought my 2022 Toyota Hilux to Toyota Sandyford for a recall involving an underbody treatment and ECU software update, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received.
Keith in the Service Department was excellent from start to finish. He helped get everything booked in, organised the pre-inspection, and kept the whole process straightforward and hassle-free. He even noticed that the battery in my spare key (which had been hanging up unused for a long time) was dead and replaced it free of charge, which was a very thoughtful touch.
When the vehicle needed to be away for a week to have the underbody treatment completed, Ian in Sales arranged a brand-new Toyota C-HR for me to use in the meantime. That made a huge difference and ensured there was no disruption at all.
The entire process was seamless. Everyone I dealt with was professional, friendly, and genuinely focused on looking after the customer. They made what could have been an inconvenience incredibly easy from start to finish.

One star is generous.

I left my car at Toyota Sandyford for a scheduled part replacement and went for a short 15-minute walk. During that time, the part was replaced, yet I was left waiting for almost two hours because nobody bothered to tell me my car was ready. The workshop and reception clearly weren't communicating with each other.

When I asked what was happening, I wasn't offered a simple apology for wasting my time. Instead, I was told they were "very busy." Being busy is not an excuse for poor communication or basic customer service.

To make matters worse, this is now the second time my car has been returned without the complimentary wash, while most other cars seem to receive one.

A dealership representing Toyota should be able to communicate internally, respect customers' time, and apologise when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, none of that happened during my visit.
